Sogole totally nailed how your style transforms based on your location as well. I could relate on so many levels. Former NYC Finance girl here who spent $ on stylish clothes in her 20s to now a mum in Australia (12 years) and also a mum who moved to Southwest England were wellies and a chic raincoat was the basis of my style. Haha. Love how it’s never too late to shift and try new styles.
Such a fan of you both and loved reading this (also, honoured to get a shout out!) My favourite thing about Sogole is how open she is to experimenting with her style and you can tell she's just someone who has fun with it and doesn't take it too seriously. That's what makes her so chic! x
Loved this interview, Jade and Sogole! I’m in the early AK stage, letting rubber balls drop and putting on my jewelry and feel-good clothes (may also need a feather brooch!). Could not agree more that where we live absolutely impacts our fashion choices. Such great advice and insight from Sogole!
Loved this! Sogole, your take on style is so refreshing! And Jade — I really appreciate how you consistently bring such a great variety of perspectives!
I love Sogole and I loved this interview so much! Sogole, you are so wise, creative, and fun - I’m so glad our paths have connected on Substack (with a few NYC links), and I’m thrilled to have discovered Jade’s newsletter, too! Love your “soft pants for the weekend” approach - I’m right there with you!
I loved the outfits as well as the thoughtful reflection on style in the different stages of motherhood. I'm one year PP and still very much figuring it out, and the honesty about 3 years was so comforting ❤️
I (obviously) clicked so fast to read this interview between you too!! Sogole; your thoughts on PP dressing taking 3 years is so true. I genuinely talk to so many friends who say it’s like walking out of a cave and I couldn’t agree more. I envy anyone who gets back to themselves sooner than that 😝 Also, the rubber ball/glass ball; whewweeee that was good!

Thank you Kim!! It’s so true how much our surroundings affect how we get dressed. It’s a constant evolution!!

For me it was years and I do think it coincided with actually getting sleep again.
Thanks Arhana! Yes my biggest learning was that it will take time!!
Sooooo thrilled and honored to be a part of this and the incredible universe you’re creating Jade!! Thank you for having me ❤️
Thank you for being so generous with your answers and I wish those The Row/Amazon thong dupes shipped to Australia!

I knewwwww you’d agree with that!!! It TAKES TIME!! Every mom is allowed however long it takes - there is no set standard!
It does take YEARS!
